The Art Institute of Chicago – a Catch virtual tour!

Autodesk employee Cody Walker recently made a trip to The Art Institute of Chicago. He captured a good deal of it using Catch! These are really amazing - I think "The End of the Trail" might be my favorite.

So join me as we take a virtual tour of The Art Institute of Chicago! Click the links under the photos to be taken to the 123D Gallery so you can view the model in the 3D viewer. They look even better that way! He's also included more information about the pieces on the Gallery.

Hi, remember me? I’m this French artist who made “go home view” you shared in your blog. I made a new short video using 123D catch at the Charteuse of Villeneuve lez Avignon wich is a very old monastery and special place. I took advantage of the fbx fomat that let you import camera position to make a dialogue between what i call ” capture du réel” (3d catching”) and real image (that are flat witch is not the case in réality!). I like being able to emphasis on that simple concept that 123d catch help tremendously to make obvious. Postproduction is made with 3ds max and composite. here’s the link to the video: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xudqzr_precis-de-construction
    So long.

Thats Brilliant, an online version of the most important art museums in 3D would be brilliant !
